30 Seconds to Mars

Los Angeles Band 30 Seconds to Mars was formed in 1998 by Hollywood actor Jared Leto (lead vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards) and his brother Shannon Leto (drums, percussion). The current lineup consists of the Leto brothers and Tomo Miličević (lead guitar, bass, violin, keyboards, other instruments). While the band’s debut album, “30 Seconds to Mars” received limited commercial success, it did receive positive reviews, and its followup, 2005’s “A Beautiful Lie” went platinum in the US and brought the band worldwide fame. Experimental music and eclectic influences were incorporated into the band’s third album, “This is War,” released in 2009. Following a move from EMI to Universal Music, the band released “Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams” in 2013. Selling over 15 Million Albums worldwide, the band has enjoyed sold out tours and headlining festival slots. They have been compared to bands such as Pink Floyd, The Cure, Tool, and U2, for their sound and use of experimental music.
