Bruce Hornsby

American singer and pianist Bruce Hornsby’s recording career started with him forming the band “The Range” and their first single, 1986’s “The Way It Is” is his best known work to date, topping the charts. The band won a Grammy in 1987 for Best New Artist. Hornsby’s solo work and collaborations have also achieved recognition. Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers is his touring band, and he has also worked with Ricky Skaggs on a bluegrass project. He was a member of Grateful Dead between 1990 and 1992.
