Since 1937, Ray-Ban has been a leader in the world of fashion eyewear, not to mention a defining force when it comes to the rock star ‘look.’ The Ray-Ban executive team turned to SongDivision for an engaging solution to help highlight and elevate key messaging during an upcoming global sales and marketing conference. The 3-day conference in Austin, Texas comprising of 120 Ray-Ban employees was designed to educate sales and marketing teams about the revolutionary new materials being used in the latest Ray-Ban product line. Leaders from the executive team challenged SongDivision to help establish a deep familiarity among employees with the new materials enabling them to ‘sing them’ to their customers. Additionally, they wanted to end the conference on a high note and send everyone home energized and ready to sell.

We proposed our Song Slam to unite teams around key messaging while infusing trust and camaraderie. To elevate the event even further and energize attendees, we would then transition into several hours of live entertainment from our world-class Cover Band. This was destined to be a spectacular event when at 8:30am in the W Hotel ballroom, the group was already dancing to the SongDivision band. Upon hearing that they would be working alongside our musicians to write and perform songs in an all out ‘Battle of the Ray-Bands’ competition, the entire room was excited for the day ahead.

Led by our own SongDivision rockstar, Angus Clark (Trans-Siberian Orchestra), and a team of Austin’s finest musicians including Miles Zuniga (Fastball) and David Sanger (Asleep at the Wheel) the group was divided into 4 teams who would each spend the next hour writing original songs based on messaging from the conference. Backed by our talented band, each group took to the stage to perform and feel the rush of the spotlight. The teams poured their heart and soul into the music and performances, and truly internalised the messaging they shared. The energy throughout the event was electric, and Ray-Ban executives were elated about the value SongDivision and the team songwriting process bought to this important meeting.
