Prince once said, “I like Hollywood. I just like Minneapolis a little bit better.”
This northern, midwestern U.S. city was Prince’s hometown and where he developed into the superstar musician and entertainer he became. From tours of his Paisley Park studios to visiting First Avenue where he often performed to seeing Purple Rain movie locations, there are several Prince-related activities for groups to experience in Minneapolis.
The city is also home to a thriving arts and culture scene, especially in the theatrical space. Groups can participate in acting or improv workshops at the Guthrie Theater where they’ll learn collaboration and communication skills. Or they can take art-themed workshops at the Walker Art Center that will help spark their creativity.
The Science Museum of Minnesota also offers groups interactive exhibits and team building workshops to help foster curiosity and engagement. The city’s many co-working spaces provide groups opportunities, too, for corporate training, either in person or virtually.
Some of the more unique team building events available in Minneapolis include bowling and arcade venues, escape rooms, and indoor rock climbing. For seasonal team building activities, check out ice skating at The Depot and snowshoeing in the parks during winter or participating in one of the city’s many festivals during the summer.
