Your City Guide

“In New York / Concrete jungle where dreams are made of / There’s nothing you can’t do” sing Alicia Keys and Jay-Z in their hit song, “Empire State of Mind.”

It’s true. In the city where if you make it here, you can make it anywhere, there’s nothing groups can’t do, in-person or virtual.

You could start with some iconic landmarks, like the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State Building for some in-person team building activities and group learning. There’s also Broadway, where teams can participate in workshops led by theater professionals.

New York also houses some of the great works of art, found in places like the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Teams can take part in guided tours and interactive exhibits that help foster critical thinking skills.

Art can be found outside museum walls, too. Teams may want to explore neighborhoods that offer a vibrant art scene and participate in a graffiti workshop.

From boat cruises to rooftop bars to ice skating outside Rockefeller Center, there’s so much to do in New York City that you’d never get bored.

Three major airports (JFK, LaGuardia, Newark) serve the city, with international and domestic flights arriving daily. And the city’s vast public transportation makes getting around New York easy.

SongDivision in New York

As Frank Sinatra famously sang, “If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere…” — and SongDivision has certainly made its mark in the Big Apple!

Our Head Creative, MiG Ayesa—who lives and breathes this city—recommends renting a bike and exploring the scenic path of Riverside Park. Start in Harlem on the West Side and ride all the way around to Pier 17 on the East Side. Along the way, enjoy the stunning views of the converted piers and stop at charming cafes and restaurants like PIER i CAFÉ, the Frying Pan, and Market 57.

On a sunny day, take a break to soak up some rays on the benches, sun chairs, or even the sand at Gansevoort Beach. Wrap up your ride at the majestic Tin Building, then catch a live concert atop Pier 17. Alternatively, indulge in a luxurious movie experience at IPIC Cinemas in the Fulton Street Seaport, where you can enjoy table service in your own plush leather recliner booth.

If you’re lucky, don’t miss a concert at The Little Island, an architectural gem on the Hudson River. And for aviation enthusiasts like MiG, visit the USS Intrepid to marvel at iconic aircraft, including a MiG, a Blackbird YF-12, a Concorde, and even the Space Shuttle Enterprise.
