Do You Have The Right Music Licenses For Your Events?

Yes, as much as we hate to break it to you, playing music at your event requires a license, even if you’re only playing a couple of songs off of a streaming service like Spotify, Apple Music, or Pandora. The good news is that these licenses are relatively easy to come by if you know where to go, and they don’t cost much.

SongDivision CEO, Andy Sharpe, teamed up with BMI’s Executive Director of Industry Relations, Jessica Frost, during a recent PCMA webinar to discuss the details of how music licensing for events works, and how to go about acquiring the proper licenses from performance rights organizations like ASCAP and BMI in the US, PRS in the UK, APRA in Australia, and COMPASS in Singapore.
