For its Presales Team conferences in The Algarve (Portugal), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and San Antonio (USA), SAP sought to foster collaboration, communication and creativity. The company approached SongDivision with the challenge of uniting cultures, geographies, and demographics using music. Our Asian, European and North American teams organized a program combining team building aspects and entertainment that was repeatable in each region. The Song Slam allowed SAP Customer Experience Presales Team members to collaborate in a creative setting by writing their own songs to express key conference themes with the help of our musicians. With a world-class band supporting them, each group then performed their songs in a battle-of-the-bands competition that had everyone on their feet and celebrating! To cap each evening in style, our bands performed hits from the past four decades while attendees danced late into the night. Not only did the experience help SAP achieve their conference goals, but also bolstered relationships among Presales Team members that will last for years to come. As each event came to a close, attendees resoundingly exclaimed ‘best event ever!’, which is enough to bring a smile to any planner’s face, as well as ours!
